On Saturday they battered Bledlow Ridge by eight wickets, relegating their rivals.

Ben Henderson (3-13) took a hat-trick and Andy Cummings collected 3-14 as Ridge could muster only 152. Dominic O’Connor (48) got the reply going and Stephen Green (60no) finished it off.

Promoted Long Marston need one point at home to Sandford St Martin this week to be champions after hammering Cublington, who drop to third. James Cockbain hit 83 in Marston’s 231-9, then James Beasley (4-5) and Pete Toovey (3-46) helped bowl out the hosts for only 116.

Paddy Daniel (70), Alex Ling (51) and Graeme Coates (50) led Oxford Downs 2nd to 248-6 in their clash with Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd.

Chris Panter took 3-56 and then top scored with 32, but Johnny Law (4-28) helped dismiss the hosts for 146.

Tim Lowe (66no) and Mark Robey (50) led Sandford St Martin to a seven-wicket win over Bicester & North Oxford.

They were chasing Bicester’s 164 all out, which saw Jon Pilgrim hit 44, with Greg Pearson taking 3-25 and Dan Green 3-36.

Neil Roberts hit 131 as Dinton 2nd declared on 278-7 at Banbury 3rd. Asif Hussain (40) and Mike Thomas (33no) salvaged a draw as Banbury made 210-6.
