DIVISIONS 6-10

SAM Prescott took an impressive 5-6 from just seven overs as Great & Little Tew 4th tied with Aston Rowant 4th in Division 9.

Tew were 125 all out from the first innings and took several early wickets to leave Rowant at 15-4 in the opening stages of their reply.

But the hosts dug in to find themselves just 20 runs short of the target with two wickets remaining, although they were unable to hang on and lost their final wicket when just one more run would have secured victory.

In Division 6, Didcot 2nd beat Banbury 4th by three wickets, racking up 211-7 in 42 overs after Banbury had been bowled out for 209.

Dave Freeman hit an impressive 107 not out in Division 7 as Great & Little Tew 3rd beat Cropredy 2nd by six wickets in a high-scoring affair.

Horley 2nd confirmed themselves as Division 8 champions with a seven-wicket victory over Shipton-under-Wychwood 3rd.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 3rd hammered Kingston Bagpuize 2nd by 131 runs.

Andy Haines made an unbeaten 114 to fire Nondies to 231-2, with Jon Ingram taking 7-39 in reply as Bagpuize stuttered to 100 all out.

In Division 10, Shipton-under-Wychwood 4th kept their title hopes alive as they beat Challow & Childrey 3rd by seven wickets, thanks to a strong display from Simon Dickens.

He hit 35 to help Shipton to 93-3 after taking 5-21 in the first innings to restrict the visitors to 90-8.
