TIF Ali starred in East Oxford 2nd’s Division 7 top-two clash with Long Marston 2nd.
Ali hit 116 as East Oxford raced to 302-6 from their 45 overs, with Atif Liaqat also notching 70.
Ali and Liaqat were the pick of the bowlers as well, the latter taking 3-41 while Ali finished with 5-29.
A stubborn display from Long Marston meant they were unable to force the result as the visitors finished on 174-8. Abingdon Vale 3rd slipped to a one-wicket defeat to Cublington 2nd.
Adrian White’s 5-22 couldn’t prevent Cublington from chasing down Vale’s 119.
Kishan Dave’s haul of 4-31 helped Bicester & North Oxford 2nd to a 49-run win over Oxford Downs 3rd, dismissing Downs for 143 as they fell short of Bicester’s 192-6.
The bowlers ruled the day as Didcot 2nd beat Horspath 3rd by 27 runs in a low-scoring match.
Tom Murray took 4-31 as Didcot were dismissed for 111 before Andy Griffiths took 5-27 as Horspath finished on 84 all out.
Oxford 4th ran riot in their 152-run thrashing of Cumnor 3rd in Division 8.
Half-centuries for Gurvinder Singh and Chetan Walia helping them to a total of 235 before Cumnor were dismissed for just 83 in reply. Ankur Malik took six wickets.
