OXFORDSHIRE enjoyed three victories during a successful Malvern Festival, which featured some superb individual efforts.

First up, Oxon defeated Essex by nine wickets, with Lucy Thomas hitting 95 not out.

Essex were restricted to 170-7 in their 40 overs as Sophie Mitchelmore and Deanna Stamp claimed two wickets apiece.

Thomas was dropped on 4, 30, 51 and 53 before she and Rebecca Woodnorth (41no) led Oxon to 171-1 in 29.2 overs.

Captain Ellie Noble and her twin sister Charley claimed three wickets apiece as Oxfordshire saw off Middlesex by six wickets.

Ellie (3-6) took three wickets in five balls, including a double-wicket maiden, while Charley finished with 3-7, the pair helping dismiss Middlesex for 73.

Oxon did not have it all their own way in reply, but Jacqui Mayho top-scored with 24 in their 76-4.

Stamp took centre stage in the final match, hitting 45 and claiming 6-20 in a 39-run victory over Surrey.

Oxon were all out for 148, with Stamp and Thomas (42) their main contributors.
