Oxfordshire’s Bradley Smith saw his involvement in the Czech MotoGP Grand Prix finish on lap three as he crashed out while in seventh place.
The race at Brno was won by championship leader Marc Marquez.
Smith’s Monster Yamaha Tech 3 teammate, Cal Crutchlow, finished 17th, with the next race at Silverstone.
“I’m disappointed with today, but highly motivated to build on the positive points we gained here,” said Smith.
“Racing at home is always special, but this will be my first MotoGP race at Silverstone and I can’t wait.”
