DIVISION 4 leaders Eynsham hammered Hailey by ten wickets to close in on the title.

Sam Jones was the star, taking 5-29 in Hailey’s 70 all out, before hitting 61 not out as Eynsham raced to victory.

Jamie Van Santen scored a century to help second-placed Wolvercote to an eight-wicket win over visitors Swinbrook.

Simon Le Good (73) had helped Swinbrook post 193-6, but Van Santen’s 101 and Stuart Tofts’s 49 led Wolvercote home on 197-2.

Wootton & Boars Hill maintained their promotion challenge with a three-wicket home win over Deddington.

Damien Wiskin (3-34) and Dave Spilsbury (3-40) combined to dismiss Deddington for 109, before Elliott Bennett hit 36 in Wootton’s 110-7.

Stanton St John Willows thrashed West Ilsley by 138 runs. Rezwan Rana (77) led the way in Willows’ 212-7, before Sohail Ahmed (4-18) and Kamran Khan (3-12) helped dismiss Ilsley for 74.

Willows 30, West Ilsley 4 Richard Nash’s unbeaten ton helped Charlbury 2nd to an eight-wicket win over Garsington 2nd.

Alan Weaver (4-53) and Carla Wood (3-36) saw the visitors out for 167, before Nash hit 100 not out in Charlbury’s 169-2.

In Division 5, Kidlington took a huge stride towards the title as they thumped hosts and fellow high-fliers Hanborough by 102 runs.

Jimmy Ewers scored 92 and Ralph Bishop 35 as Kidlington posted 200 all out, Scott Akers taking 4-20. Hanborough were all out for 98 with Leighton James taking 5-13.

Second-placed Kilkenny crashed to a shock seven-wicket defeat at Cassington Rescue.

Jason Penn hit 51 and James Barker 41 not out in Kilkenny’s 138 all out, before James Righetti scored 75 not out in Cassington’s 141-3.

Kennington edged out hosts Great Horwood 2nd by three wickets.

Sam Foster and Norm Robins each took three wickets in Horwood’s 147 all out, and then Kenny Brodie scored 65 in Kennington’s 149-7.

Brothers Matt and Charlie Waite shone for Stanton Harcourt in their 95-run win at Uffington.

Charlie took 4-8 in 8.3 overs and Matt 3-34 as Uffington were all out for 103 in reply to Stanton Harcourt’s 198-9, for whom Ollie Pascoe scored 67.

In Division 6, champions elect Risinghurst thrashed visitors Brill by seven wickets.

Mohammed Khademi took 5-47 to skittle Brill out for 59, before Risinghurst eased to 60-3.

Second-placed Shrivenham lost to bottom side Oxenford 2nd by nine runs at home.

After posting 151-9, Oxenford dismissed their hosts for 142 as Brendan Sollis claimed 5-36.
