Grove's Oliver Coles had his best finish yet in the Drayton Manor MG Metro Cup at Cadwell Park.
Coles guided his 1994 Rover Metro GTi to fourth in class and 11th overall in what was just the sixth race of his career, having made his racing debut in October.
After qualifying seventh in Class B, Coles successfully navigated past several collisions to move up into fourth, eventually finishing just three seconds from a podium place.
“I really enjoyed that race having clicked with the circuit immediately after testing on Friday morning,” he said.
“It’s a shame I missed out on the podium by just three seconds, but hopefully with the result today I can better it next time out at Oulton Park in September.”
