HORSPATH Hammers pipped visiting Poole Comets 90-89 in a pulsating South & South Wales League Division 1 clash.
The hosts took the first heat 6-4 thanks to Wayne Hutt and ever-improving British junior champion George Horsley.
A superb 7-3 from Hutt and Zac Payne in heat four left Poole seven points behind going into the second half.
Horspath only posted one more heat advantage, a 6-4 from Mark Boaler and Matty Szymczak, but it was enough for victory.
Jordan Richardson, 14, showed plenty of promise with an 11-point haul.
