Abingdon Bowling Club defeated Bowls England 110-100 in an exhibition match to celebrate their centenary year.
In a closely-contested game, Bowls England led after ten ends.
Abingdon fought back in the second half with Peter Rogers’ rink picking up 13 shots in three ends, while John Highsmith’s rink reduced their deficit from 12-2 to 14-11.
This, combined with victories for the rinks of John Davie and Brian Salsbury, saw Abingdon triumph.
