Karl Johnston was the star in Didcot 3rd’s 79-run win over Shipton-under-Wychwood 3rd in Division 8, hitting a club record 118 to help Didcot to 241 all out from 42 overs.

Shipton couldn’t match them, struggling to 162 after being bowled out in 37.4 overs, with Ali Wolfe’s 33 their top score.

Oxford 4th held Kingston Bagpuize 2nd to 75 all out in a 201-run victory, with 73 from Nabeel Khan and 63 from Daniel Thacker firing the hosts to 276-6 in the first innings.

In Division 6, Prasad Kankadandi and James Head put on a batting master class to help Didcot 2nd beat Bledlow Ridge 2nd by nine wickets.

They fired Didcot to 189-1 in just 29.3 overs with an unbroken partnership of 147, Kankadandi top-scoring with 75 and Head adding 58.

Ben Knowler led the way with 83 for Aston Rowant 3rd as they hit 239-8 in their draw with Horspath 3rd, the visitors reaching 217-9 in reply.

Abingdon Vale 3rd restricted Bicester & North Oxford 2nd to 101 in their Division 7 match, needing just 25 overs to win as Stuart Cardy’s unbeaten 38 eased them to 102-1. Abingdon Vale 4th did the double in Division 10, beating Bicester & North Oxford 4th by five wickets with Charlie Taylor taking 3-18 and Richard Pickford 5-34 as Bicester reached 96-9.
