Ali Morteza smashed 124 not out – his second ton of the season – to lead Cumnor to their ninth win of the summer and a 49-point lead at the top of Division 2.

Aston Rowant 2nd had managed 182-9 from their 53 overs, with Andrew Tolson (51) and Hendrik Robyns (30) to the fore. Max Mannering (3-41) and Adam Cook (3-55) did much of the damage with the ball.

Morteza and Jamie Douglas (33) took the visitors to 185-3.

Abingdon Vale beat Tiddington by five wickets to gain revenge for their 73-run defeat when the sides met in May.

Left-armers Paul White (4-64) and Danny Hartley (3-40) combined to dismiss the visitors for 168, Nick Pykett running out of partners to finish on 87 not out.

First, Dave Dyer (51), then Graham Charlesworth (56) set up Vale’s victory, which came in the 41st over.

Olly Dimbylow took 5-32 to bowl Challow & Childrey to a two-run victory at Bletchley Town.

He has combined figures of 10-68 from the two matches between the teams this term. Challow had been bowled out for 145 by Jude Raman-adanpulle (5-39) and Ricardo Brown (5-42).

Luke Stutter’s 54 runs were to prove crucial, as Town fell short despite Tom Woodwards’ 41no.

Bletchley 7, Challow & Childrey 25

Bledlow Village are up to third after Manoj Parmar took 6-24 to help dismiss Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts for 136.

Matt Bolton then hit 69 in Bledlow’s 137-3, all the wickets falling to Zia Hamed (3-51).

Bledlow are yet to win two matches in succession this season, while Nondies’ have won only once since May.

Cropredy collapsed to 102 all out on a spicy wicket at Wolverton Town.

The visitors were unimpressed by the playing surface as Mohammed Shazad (5-59) took out half the visiting batsmen.

Town also found batting difficult against James Coleman (4-36) and Alastair Worby (3-15), but somehow clawed their way to 103-9.
