FORMER Oxfordshire spinner Jack Taylor will not bowl for Gloucestershire again this season.

The off-spinner, who came through the ranks at Great & Little Tew, has not played for Gloucestershire’s first team since May 28 after being reported for illegal bowling actions twice within a year.

Taylor, 21, is still allowed to bat, but is not expected to be picked for the first team.

Gloucestershire director of cricket John Bracewell said Taylor was “progressing very well” as they work on getting his action right.

He stressed: “We’re in no hurry and the real view is he won’t be playing first-class cricket this year as a bowler.”
