SIMON Ray and Chris Williams were the class acts in the field at the Hinksey Heights club championships.
Ray’s was the more comfortable of the two victories, shooting rounds of 74 and 76 to take the gross title by four shots from Dan Croad.
Joel Thornett was a further four adrift in third place.
The handicap competition came down to countback, where a nett 69 in the second round saw Williams pip Peter Aslett.
Ray was third, only three shots away from securing the double.
