A MAGNFICENT unbroken partnership of 231 between Tom Price and Harrison Ward led Oxfordshire to a resounding 166-run victory in their friendly clash against Shropshire at Horspath.
Oxfordshire rattled up a formidable 279-1 from their 40 overs, despite losing opener Finn Pietersen for 23.
Price scored a superb 106 not out, an innings containing 12 fours, while Ward was 75 not out at the end, hitting eight boundaries.
Oxfordshire were helped greatly by 75 extras.
Shropshire were never in the hunt in the face of some excellent bowling and fielding, slumping to 113 not out.
Pick of the bowlers was James Curtis, who claimed 4-34 from his eight overs, while Sam Powell took 3-18 and Harry Davies 2-10.
