Chloe Elliott flew the flag for Oxfordshire at the Grade 4 Wimbledon Week tournament held at Virgin Active.
Players from all over southern England were in attendance, but it was the nine-year-old who stole the show.
A member of Abingdon’s White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre, Elliott won the ten and under event, beating many older opponents along the way.
She defeated London’s Emanuela Bille 4-2 in the final.
Lara Frank (North Oxford) won the consolation final, beating Amelie Temple (Berkshire) 5-3.
Bicester’s Ben Jerham won the 14 & under event with a 5-4, 5-3 victory over Harrison Brown, from Surrey.
Next week sees the start of Oxfordshire’s largest event, the Penny & Sinclair Championships.
This year’s event will be played at Virgin Active and Abingdon’s White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre. Also taking place in Abingdon is the Oxfordshire Senior County Closed Championships, while North Oxford are hosting a British Tour event.
