ADAM Tucker plundered a sensational 172 not out as Shrivenham had a field day at Hook Norton in Division 1 of the OCA League on Saturday.
Tucker’s huge knock was backed up by Conor Taylor’s magnificent 132 as Shrivenham amassed 368-2 from their 45 overs.
To complete Tucker’s amazing day, he then claimed 5-28 in eight overs as Hook Norton were bowled out for a spirited 216, Tom Bartlett hitting 58.
Leaders Broughton & North Newington crashed to a 23-run defeat at Garsington.
The hosts posted 206, Abid Karim top-scoring with 48.
Broughton were then dismissed for 183 as Steve Richardson and Carl Palmer claimed three wickets apiece.
Graham Judd starred with 6-18 in Westbury’s 51-run victory at Charlbury.
Having posted only 139-9, Westbury were too hot to handle in the field as the home side were shot out for 88.
East & West Hendred picked up their first win, condemning visitors Chadlington to a fourth straight defeat.
Jason Briggs (60) and Ivan Mulford (42) helped Hendred to 174-9.
Jon Francis claimed 4-43 as Chadlington were restricted to 168-6.
Cowley Internationals maintained their 100 per cent Division 2 record with a seven-wicket win at Tetsworth.
After skittling their hosts for 91, Cowley eased to 92-2, Afzaal Hussain top-scoring with 36 not out.
Clifton Hampden held on to record a six-run win at home to Marsh Gibbon.
Morley Benson (53) helped Clifton post 159 all out, and then Julian Hitchman claimed 4-56 as Gibbon were restricted to 153-8.
In Division 3, Wantage went top with a seven-wicket win at Westcott.
James Mabbett took 4-19 to dismiss the home side for 156, before Barry Martin (65) and Tim Lane (46no) led Wantage to 160-3.
Cairns Fudge suffered their first defeat, losing by six wickets at Chesterton.
Steve Lewis was the hero for Chesterton, taking 3-27 in Fudge’s 207 all out, before leading his side’s reply with a superb 112 as Chesterton reached 209-4.
Stanton St John Willows’ Rezwan Rana claimed 7-21 to help his side to a seven-wicket home win over Charlbury 2nd in Division 4.
Rana’s haul helped to shoot Charlbury out for 71, before Atif Ali (37) led Willows to 73-3.
Eynsham stay top with a nine-wicket home win against Garsington 2nd.
Four wickets apiece for Mark Weller (4-7) and Dave Harris (4-22) helped to roll the visitors out for 72, and then Ben Smitten (42) led Eynsham to 76-1.
