Owen Suter scored the winner as Slade Farm United lifted the Lord Jersey Cup with a thrilling 3-2 extra-time win against Woodford United at Bicester.

Slade took the lead when Matthew Blenford smashed home a thunderous shot into the top corner.

And they doubled their lead when Blenford’s corner was headed in by Michael Philpott.

However, Adam Hinton clawed a goal back, before David Wiltshire levelled after the break to ensure extra time.

Moments before the end of the first period of extra time, Slade Farm scored the winner.

Matthew Gardner’s mazy run ended with skipper Suter firing into the top corner via a deflection.

Suter then went off with concussion, but watched his side hold on for victory, thanks to an excellent defensive display as they triumphed in the 125th final.
