Oxford cox Oskar Zorrilla paid tribute to the the crew for the way in which they stuck to their gameplan.
The Dark Blues held off a strong Cambridge challenge before winning yesterday’s race in style.
“It was really fun,” he said Zorrilla.
“It was tough, but that’s what we expected. We just stuck to what our plan was – an indestructible devastating rhythm.
“And it came through for us in the end.”
The Cambridge president George Nash, who confirmed that it would be his final appearance in the race, paid tribute to Oxford.
He said: “They put together a really fantastic race, they put in one too many moves and we couldn’t answer it.”
