JOHN Mills scored twice as Abingdon United eased to a 4-1 win at Queens Sports College (Watford) in the Football Conference Youth League Cup preliminary round.
Playing into a strong wind, Abingdon dominated, but had to wait until the half-hour to open the scoring when Tom Heyday's free-kick was headed into the top corner by Desh- awn Whiteman.
Mills increased Abingdon's lead before the break, tapping home from six yards after good work by Daniel Power and Dan Reeves.
Queens pulled a goal back 25 minutes into the second half, but Abingdon restored their two-goal cushion with Jack Dunmall finishing off a fine move.
Mills sealed Abingdon's victory with a cracking 25-yard drive in injury time.
Now Abingdon are at home to Boreham Wood in the next round on Wednesday, December 6.
