AN injury-time penalty from Stuart Hole earned North Leigh their first victory in four Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West games with a 2-1 triumph away to Bishops Cleeve last night.
The home side had the better of a scrappy first half and went in a goal up at the break after Matt Rose headed in a corner from six yards in the 38th minute.
North Leigh upped a gear in the second half and young substitute Declan Shepperd made it 1-1 from Jacob Walcott’s cross after 81 minutes.
They continued to pile on the pressure, hitting a post from a corner before Keiron Sanders was brought down in injury time and Hole blasted the penalty straight down the middle.
