Jonathan Draycott, who has an academy at Drayton, near Abingdon, has been selected for a new venture at Goring & Streatley.
Draycott, who lives near Didcot, will use his academy to provide golf services at the Berkshire club.
He said: “I started playing at the age of four. Golf is a valuable and exciting sport for young people.
“That’s why the club’s junior academy forms such an important part of what we’re doing.
“We’re committed to offering enjoyable, quality golf to every age, to every member of the family, and growing our services for the community as a whole.”
Draycott, who is the club professional at Goring, started playing as a youngster at Huntercombe where he is the course record-holder with a score of 64.
He will be holding a free ‘taster’ session to introduce the game to beginners, adults and children on Sunday, March 10 (2-4pm).
Club manager Mike Evans said: “We’re excited about the future of Goring and Streatley Golf Club with Jonathan on board.
“He shares our passion and vision for providing the very best of golf to the Berkshire and Oxfordshire area.
“He brings a wealth of golfing knowledge to newcomers and experienced players alike.”
Draycott is a former captain of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire county team.
He played on the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2003 and qualified for the Open in 1997 and 1998.
