Oxford City boss Mike Ford has urged his side to forget about their 1-0 FA Trophy exit at Sutton United and instead channel their energy into beating visitors Histon in Blue Square Bet North at Court Place Farm tomorrow.

Ford felt his side deserved a replay against the Blue Square Bet South outfit.

A header from Felipe Barcelos appeared to go over the line as they battled for an equaliser after Jack Mills was sent off for two bookings.

“It was hard to tell from my position on halfway, but the lads were convinced it had gone over.

“I thought the way we performed, particularly a man down, we deserved something from the game.

“On another day it would have been a replay.”

Although Histon are second bottom, Ford says they will not be taking their opponents for granted.

“I know they are in a bit of trouble. They have lost their manager and have financial problems,” said Ford.

“They have lost their last six games, but the run has to end and I don’t want it to happen against us. “All I’m worried about is what our boys do. I saw in their eyes at training how ready they are to play.”

City will be without midfielder Liam Malone (ankle) and winger Jamie Cook who suffered a hamstring strain against Sutton, while striker Ashan Holgate (knee) faces a late fitness test.
