As a final point, don't forget it's the FA Youth Cup tie vs Barnsley on Wed night. 7.30pm at Thame Utd. Updates will be right here. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:16pm
Right, that's all the time we have for today. Thanks for all your contributions, think that was one of our busiest of the season. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:16pm
@OxfordMailOUFC could harry be our dion dublin? his head was like a magnet for the ball
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
12:16pm
@OxfordMailOUFC maybe but like I said in not taking it away from him at all I just think it's silly thinking of moving him up top...
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
12:13pm
Think that's a bit harsh, Andy. Have seen plenty of top strikers at this level miss a chance like that.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:10pm
@OxfordMailOUFC anyone could have scored though! Not taking it away from him but was it right place right time??
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
12:10pm
Agree Worley has a case for feeling a bit hard done by. The injury at the start of the season prevented him from really staking a claim.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
At the moment it's hard to see him dislodging Raynes, who has done well since coming back in. With Dubes back as well, going to be difficult
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:10pm
@OxfordMailOUFC think harry has been v unlucky not to get more game time. prefer him to raynes
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
12:10pm
@OxfordMailOUFC but how many more times are we gonna have to do that... Should have to do that in the first place! As for a plan b! Pfftttt
— @GrantMadden1 17 December 2012
12:06pm
But it worked, didn't it Grant? It might have been a one-off, but sticking Worley up front was proven to be the right thing to do on Sat.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:03pm
@OxfordMailOUFC some Oxford fans are thick! How can you still want the man in a Job! Worley up front... Give over! He is a defender!!
— @GrantMadden1 17 December 2012
12:03pm
@OxfordMailOUFC if we had a forward with JPP speed, Craddocks finishing & Beano's work rate we would have a top striker!
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
12:03pm
@tim_cowley @OxfordMailOUFC league over cup every time. even if we go through we wont get a big gate for sheffield
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
12:03pm
Don't remember IL saying that, but someone might prove me wrong. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
From the whispers we hear the likes of Rotherham are prob spending around twice as much on wages. Think #oufc would be top 10.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
12:03pm
RT @junioroufc: @OUFCAddict @andywilmer @oxfordmailoufc didn't IL say our budget was top 3?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
RT @andywilmer: @junioroufc @oufcaddict @oxfordmailoufc not sure he would have published that fact but I wouldn't be surprised if it was
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:58am
@OxfordMailOUFC as frustrating as postponed games are they are sometimes a good thing and think it has helped. Potter & Craddock both back
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:58am
@OxfordMailOUFC hindsight is a wonderful thing but potter could have finished aldershot game, seen out the 1-0 win, league over cup
— @tim_cowley 17 December 2012
11:58am
Thought Craddock was much sharper compared to his sub appearance vs Aldershot. Got tired, but his pressing was key to #oufc's strong start.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:54am
@OxfordMailOUFC do u think craddock was lively? I thought his work rate was dire and he should've gone off instead of Rigg who caused probs
— @Big_badWolfe 17 December 2012
11:54am
Also do you think the postponement has benefitted #oufc? Potter prob wouldn't have made it last Wed & Accrington lost to Wycombe on Sat.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:54am
@OxfordMailOUFC they aren't a great team and we always rise to the big games. Shame we don't do it for every single game we play
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:54am
@OxfordMailOUFC depends which stanley turn up and if we are clinical with chances. money would be nice but need to weary of injuries and sat
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:51am
@OxfordMailOUFC Remember, the west ham cup money paid for Craddock.
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:51am
No doubt about it, winning tomorrow is essential to any hopes of doing some proper business in January. Optimistic of getting past Accy?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC Swindon don't want him, especially now so they can free up wages due to the embargo. Could get him cheap!
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:50am
RT @Danadino_OUFC: @OxfordMailOUFC Make it permanent, I don't think the fans want him, or he wants to be at Swindon, why go to your rivals on a short loan?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:50am
@OxfordMailOUFC without a doubt he has been 1 of our best players and I can't see Swin*on wanting him back
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:47am
@OxfordMailOUFC decent player but another right winger would be top of my list. if potter is crocked no replacement with pace
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:47am
While we're talking about Lee Cox, do you think #oufc should do all they can to extend his stay?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:47am
@OxfordMailOUFC Biggest game of the Season tomorrow though. Without a doubt. #Money
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:47am
@andywilmer @OxfordMailOUFC they also have much more dosh. do concede definitely need more strength in our team for set pieces at both ends
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:46am
RT @OUFCAddict: @andywilmer @OxfordMailOUFC i dont think we would get anybody better in and this seasons injuries to me mean its been a voided year so far
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:44am
@OxfordMailOUFC good luck to him in the future will be a good player.
— @Danadino_OUFC 17 December 2012
11:43am
@OxfordMailOUFC played out of position too much, came with a very promising recommendation from #bhafc fans, him over leven last few weeks
— @tim_cowley 17 December 2012
11:42am
@OUFCWomble @oxfordmailoufc I think Cox & Chappers would make a decent midfield not playing Cox on Sat was crazy. Does he have an injury?
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:41am
@OUFCAddict @oxfordmailoufc Seriously?? There's been no improvement under him in the football league! This season is embarrassing!
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:41am
@OxfordMailOUFC Player with potential, just didn't show it with us, not a loss. Hopefully we have someone lines up to refill his spot
— @Danadino_OUFC 17 December 2012
11:41am
@andywilmer @OxfordMailOUFC i still like wilder. its been proven long term stability is key to club success. reshape squad in jan
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:41am
@OxfordMailOUFC started well but hasn't exactly set the #OUFC world on fire. It will free up a wage for Jan and allow us a new player
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:37am
@OxfordMailOUFC We play him too deep. He suited the 4-3-3 that we played, but now we've moved to 4-4-2, i would have Cox and Leven orChapman
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:37am
@OxfordMailOUFC not at all he says he's a bit young and doesn't have experience but how is he meant to gain it if not played?! Give him a go
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:36am
The other news which came out last week was Gus Poyet making it clear he intended to recall JFC. Thoughts on his time with #oufc?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:35am
Just as an aside, those #oufc fans who made the trip - did you see Morecambe boss Jim Bentley on the phone at one stage?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:33am
Hard to argue with that Andy. Craddock looked much sharper but he could have had two in the first eight mins. #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:33am
@OxfordMailOUFC Wouldn't have put marsh on. Too physical. Do want to see him play alongside beano soon though!
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:33am
RT @andywilmer: @OxfordMailOUFC it should come down to needing a goal late on though! We missed several opportunities to put the game to bed early on
— @Sam_Leslie7 17 December 2012
11:31am
Think for the moment, with Smalley & Pittman out, Worley is an option up front if #oufc are chasing a goal late on.
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
It's unlikely to be a long-term option, but that's what #oufc have to deal with. Did you agree with CW this prob wasn't the game for Marsh?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:27am
@OxfordMailOUFC every set piece conceded this season makes me nervous that we will concede whereas we dont return the favour
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC Anyone who still thinks CW is the man to take us forward is deluded. I want our club to do well & I can't see us improving.
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC Probably more luck than anything if he gets moved up front and does well then we can praise CW for doing something right
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC worrley should be playing more, had a good feeling when he came on
— @lane_henry 17 December 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC we need an imposing physical presence but no offence to dubes should we be missing late 30's cb so much at set pieces?
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:26am
@OxfordMailOUFC Morning guys. Without a doubt another wasted opportunity! Draws don't get promotions goals do & it took a CB to get our goal
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC are OUFC considering moving Worley up front? Is he good enough? What does this say about our other strikers/transfer policy?
— @Sam_Leslie7 17 December 2012
11:25am
@OxfordMailOUFC Raynes been settling in well recently. Wouldn't drop him for Duberry unless something happens.
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
@OxfordMailOUFC Morning guys. Without a doubt another wasted opportunity! Draws don't get promotions goals do & it took a CB to get our goal
— @andywilmer 17 December 2012
11:25am
@OxfordMailOUFC story of the season. start strongly and dominate but dont score. need to be more clinical
— @OUFCAddict 17 December 2012
11:25am
Morning Connor. What was the mood in the away end, have heard some reports of unrest among the #oufc fans?
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
Conceding set pieces is becoming an Achilles heel isn't it? Worley took his goal like a striker, hopefully a few teammates were taking notes
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:21am
@OxfordMailOUFC Worley used to play as a striker when he was younger. Have always hoped we'd see him come on up front
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:21am
@OxfordMailOUFC Made the trip up north. Awful performance. Midfield abysmal, Craddock unfit. Defence better, but set piece does us again!
— @OUFCWomble 17 December 2012
11:21am
And what do you think Michael Duberry's impact will be on form as he returns to action? #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:21am
Was the Harry Worley move a stroke of genius, a lucky fluke or somewhere in between? #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:21am
Here are some questions to get you going: Was Saturday's draw a decent enough point or another wasted opportunity? #oufc
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
11:18am
to kick us off, here's what Chris Wilder and Michael Raynes made of Saturday's draw:
Oxford United's gamble pays off as Worley proves the hero: CHRIS Wilder was delighted to see his Plan B come off... http://t.co/kZbYViGO
— @OxfordMailOUFC 17 December 2012
Raynes backs Worley as makeshift striker: HARRY Worley has the ability to reinvent himself as a striker, accordi... http://t.co/VeYFVDez
