WITNEY were pegged back for a 6-6 draw by Bletchley after a last-minute penalty at Hailey Road.
The match was played on Witney’s saturated reserve pitch and took place in torrential rain.
Bletchley, whose support outnumbered the sparse home crowd, took the lead with a second-minute penalty from fly half Kev Turnbull.
Witney centre Henry Lamb lost his footing and missed a penalty in front of the posts on nine minutes.
Home fly half James Ellwood was yellow-carded, while Bletchley had two men sin-binned themselves.
Two penalties from Lamb put Witney 6-3 up at the break, although they lost captain Jez Hicks to injury.
With lock Joe Rowles leading the way, the hosts defended well, but they conceded a simple penalty with a minute to go.
Bletchley’s John Kirwan slotted the kick and there was no way back.
