The decision to scrap all 20 public recycling points in the Vale of White Horse has been “called in” for scrutiny.
The district council took the decision to get rid of the Bring Banks on the basis they were being abused.
Most of the 31 residents asked during a month-long consultation supported the idea. Last month Vale announced they would be getting rid of the banks.
That idea will be scrutinised on July 25.
Vale cabinet member for waste Reg Waite said: “We don’t need the mixed-recycling banks, which have become a nuisance, so we decided to remove them.”
