TWO county areas have been named in the top 10 places to live in rural Britain.
Vale of White Horse was placed eighth and South Oxfordshire 10th in the Halifax Building Society’s list of the 50 best boroughs and districts.
Waverley in Surrey topped the table for the rural area with the highest living standards.
The chart was dominated by locations in southern England. Scotland and Wales did not appear.
