WALLINGFORD Community Hospital's maternity unit has reopened after the building was damaged by heavy rain.
Teams from Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust carried out inspections at the midwife-led unit (MLU) in Garston Lane, the smallest of three freestanding MLUs in Oxford.
One clinical room remains closed to allow work to be carried out but the rest of the unit is open.
Trust spokesman Kaelum Neville said: "The midwifery-led unit that Oxford University Hospitals runs at Wallingford Community Hospital is now open again after earlier being affected by flooding.
"The Trust carried out checks on the facilities to ensure they were safe to use, as a result of which one clinical room remains closed until some work has been carried out to bring it back into use.
"All midwifery services there are now running normally and any woman who was planning on having her baby at Wallingford is welcome at the unit."
It is understood that the roof was partly damaged by the storms at 8pm last night and 4am this morning.
