COMEDIAN Lucy Porter presented a project manager with an award for being Innovator of the Year in his industry. Alan Midwinter, who works for gas network provider SGN, picked up the trophy at Utility Week magazine’s Stars Awards this month.
The award judges said Mr Midwinter was a UK expert in biogas production and biomethane clean-up plants. They said: “He is passionate about what he does and has delivered some phenomenal successes for our company, and the entire gas industry, including the first UK biomethane injection and first commercial biomethane plant in the UK.”
The ceremony was held at Lancashire County Cricket Club on Friday, June 12.
