A severe weather warning for wind has been issued for Oxfordshire for Thursday and Friday.

The Met Office yellow warning is in place from 9pm on Thursday until 6pm on Friday, with the potential for gales or severe gales and heavy rain.

Yellow is the lowest level of warning and means people should be aware of branches or trees being felled by gusts, which could be between 50 and 60 miles per hour.

There may be travel problems for high-sided vehicles and motorists are advised to drive with care.
