ASHLEIGH Kent-Stallwood demonstrated how to create a rug using bits of old clothes at an ethical fashion fair.

The 20-year-old from Eynsham-based Groundwork Green Schools, also showed visitors to the free fair at Oxford Town Hall on Thursday how to customise T-shirts.

She said: “It is made from cut up pieces from old T-shirts.

“It is a way of recycling the clothes rather than it going to landfill.”

Other stalls at the fair, organised as part of Oxford Fashion Week which ends today, demonstrated ethical fashion.

Fashion Week ends tonight with a sold-out Haute Couture Show at the Ashmolean Museum.
