THOUSANDS of visitors marked the 21st birthday of a festival at an allotment site.
The Elder Stubbs Festival, which raises cash for Oxford mental health charity Restore, was held at Rymers Lane, Cowley, on Saturday afternoon. The family-friendly event featured music, swing boats, jugglers, falconry, pony rides and dance displays.
American tribal style belly dancer Hannah Godfrey, from Wantage, said: “We loved it! It’s the first time we have been to the event and it was fantastic. The audience was brilliant and we really loved the whole atmosphere — everyone was just so happy.
“We really hope we can come back and dance at the event again.”
