ORIGAMI inspired by an art exhibition was created by youngsters at an event at Modern Art Oxford.

Nine children took part in the workshop at the Pembroke Street gallery, which was run by artist Feng-Ru Lee.

Among those taking part was 13-year-old Gabriel Adam, pictured left, with Isaac Gresham, 10, on a day trip to Oxford from his home in Portsmouth.

He said: “It was really fun.

“I made a sculpture out of several pieces of paper and I found it really interesting.

“I really liked the work.”

The idea was that the youngsters would take inspiration from the sculpture exhibition of Seoul and Berlin-based artist Heague Yang.

Museum project manager Sarah Plumb said: “What really impressed me was just how imaginative they were. Each young person managed to create something unique.”
