OUTDOOR activities including tree painting and making mud pies are on offer at Oxfordshire’s most popular beauty spot tomorrow.

The Earth Trust in Little Wittenham, near Didcot, will hold a free family discover and play day.

Last year the event attracted about 150 visitors and staff are hoping more families will take part this year.

Among those looking forward to the day, from 10am to 2pm, are Penny Singer-Pritchard, six, and her eight-year-old sister Heather, from Oxford.

Their father, Phil Pritchard, is community engagement officer at the trust.

Heather said: “I love coming here to play outdoors.”

Seven other discover and play days are being planned between February and April on dates to be arranged.

The trust looks after Wittenham Clumps and neighbouring woodland.
