W OXON: A driver who caused the death of a part-time firefighter is due to be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.
Paul Brown, 30, of Oxford Road, Eynsham, was found not guilty of causing death by dangerous driving last month.
He admitted causing 39-year-old Joe Wilkins’s death through careless driving in May last year – a lesser offence which carries a maximum jail term of six years.
Father-of-two Mr Wilkins died after being hit by Brown’s Ford Focus in Eaton Road near Appleton.
