ANYONE with a spare ball of wool can donate it to a good cause to help a firm’s knitting fundraiser.
Staff at Co-operative Funeralcare in Bicester are calling for as much material as possible so they can start work on three different designs for three charities.
Nicola Dudley and Mary Muncey are among those taking part.
Mrs Dudley said: “We are knitting ‘twiddle muffs’ for Dementia Care which have an item attached so patients can fiddle with them. We are also knitting poppies for the Poppy Appeal and blankets for Sands, the stillbirth and neo-natal death charity. We started knitting for the Poppy Appeal last year and we raised more than £2,000.”
The funeral home is also having a coffee morning at the John Paul Centre on Friday, October 9, between 10am and noon.
