TRAVELLERS have left a site in Bicester following intervention from authorities.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that, alongside Bicester Town Council, it had “worked together and can confirm the travellers have now all left Langford village”.
The travellers began occupying the Langford Villahe playing fields, owned by the town council, on Wednesday and yesterday afternoon officers from the council asked travellers to leave.
Yesterday police spokeswoman Charlotte Redman said: “We received a number of calls notifying us that the travellers have arrived.
“We have sent teams out to speak to the community and the travellers.”
