A SEVEN-month-old has a genetic condition that leaves him in constant pain and means he can never be cuddled properly.

Anthony Brine has Epidermolysis Bullosa, EB, a genetic condition where the skin and internal body linings blister at the slightest knock or rub. His mum Daniela, 24, said her family, soldier husband Richard, 32, and their other son Shane, five, are focusing on making Christmas a good one.

Mrs Brine, of Ambrosden, near Bicester, said: “His feet are quite bad, the skin is ripped, and one of his fingers the skin is all ripped off.”

The couple were dealt a second blow weeks after Anthony was diagnosed when Mr Brine, a Lance Corporal with Bicester based 23 Pioneer Regiment, was told he would be made redundant next year as the regiment is being disbanded. He is now re-training to be a gas engineer.
