IVAN Cadge has spent the past 20 years researching Abingdon Branch Railway, and this is the fruit of his labours.
The 53-year-old model railway enthusiast has lovingly crafted this scale model of the old line from Radley Station to Abingdon.
The layout will have its premiere at the Abingdon and District Model Railway Exhibition, White Horse Tennis and Leisure Centre, Abingdon, on February 28 next year.
But Mr Cadge, who works at Abingdon and Witney College, has given Oxford Mail readers a sneak preview of his creation.

He said: “My fascination with railways started at an early age.
“After a move to Abingdon in 1988, I discovered the book The Abingdon Branch by Nigel Trippet and Michael DeCourties.”
Having joined the Abingdon and District Model Railway Club, he said he was inspired to build a model of Abingdon Station and the railway yard.
He added: “The initial idea of the research into the railway was to obtain photographs to build the model as accurate as possible.’’ The model is set in 1948 and operates to a timetable starting with the first train of the day to Radley.
