Thames Valley Police has removed a Tweet by one of its officers because it could have prejudiced a court case.
The message, sent out by the South and Vale police account, said a criminal had been caught despite the suspect not having been found guilty in court.
Thames Valley Police refused to answer any questions about the mistake.
Media lawyer Mike Dodd said the Tweet was ‘ill-advised’.
