Man rescued by neighbour after cigarette causes fire in Oxford property
A man was taken to hospital after a fire believed to be caused by a cigarette.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on the second floor of a property in Speedwell Street at 12.17am.
It is believed a cigarette caused the bedside table to set alight, followed by the bed.
One man was rescued by a neighbour before firefighters arrived. He was taken to the John Radcliffe by South Central Ambulance Service.
