WITNEY Musical Festival ended with a noisy gig as John Coghlan’s Quo headlined in The Leys.
The band, founded by Mr Coghlan of Status Quo, brought the curtain down on Saturday ahead of a final day of events yesterday. The Quo performed old classics including Rockin’ All Over The World and Caroline in front of thousands of fans.

Witney band Twisted State of Mind also performed as did acts such as Captain Horizon, Santiago Kings, Muddy Johnson and Dave Oates.

Paralegal Zoe Hooper, 23, of Bampton, went to the festival with three of her friends. She said: “It was buzzing. I’d definitely go again.”
Mr Coghlan said: “It’s great to see youngsters making an effort rather than playing music on computers in their bedrooms.”
