DOZENS of floral tributes have now been left outside the Didcot home where a family were murdered.

Bouquets, cuddly toys and messages flank the Vicarage Road home paying tribute to Jan Jordon, 48, partner Philip Howard, 44, and daughter Derin Jordon, 6.

The family were found dead on the evening of Saturday, May 23, with post mortem examinations concluding they all died from multiple stab wounds.

Police named Ms Jordon’s son Jed Allen was the only suspect in the investigation and was found dead the following Monday in woodland off Marston Ferry Road, Oxford. Allen’s post mortem examination is yet to be carried out but it is believed he was found hanged.

Since the murders, Didcot’s community has rallied together to pay touching tributes. Many messages read of the devastation and how the family are sorely missed.

One tribute said: “To Jan and family, missing you so much already, hoping you are all in a better place. Can’t believe this has happened to such a lovely family.

“Thinking of you always, forever in our hearts. Lots of love Tracey, Shaun and family.”

Another message from a teacher of the six-year-old said: “Dezzy, I will always remember your beautiful smile and warm, caring nature. You were a delight to teach and will be missed so much. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.”

On the same tribute it added: “Jan, thanks for all your help and support in school. I know the children loved it when you came in to help and would line up to read with you. Rest in peace.”

Brightly coloured ribbons have been tied to trees and lamp posts across the town.

A trail of them can now be seen all the way from the family home in Vicarage Road to All Saints Primary School in Tamar Way – where Derin was a pupil.

Some have been pictured on facebook.com/SpottedDidcot showing the ribbon tributes stretching as far as Southampton.

A number of collection buckets are also dotted around town – named as Tetley’s Fund, after the family dog – to raise money for the families of the victims.
