THAMES Valley Police has been rated “good” for effectiveness and efficiency on a new website the public can inspect.
The police effectiveness, efficiency and legitimacy (PEEL) reports rate forces as outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.
Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary launched the site, which also says how much the force costs and its priorities, today.
The report said: “Thames Valley Police is in general, good at reducing crime and preventing offending, good at investigating crime and good at tackling antisocial behaviour.

“It has risen to the challenge of the spending review and continues to prepare for future funding reductions.”
HMIC inspector for Thames Valley Zoe Billingham said: “This is a well-led force with low overall crime levels and it maintains high levels of victim satisfaction.”
