Council is taking action over parking problems

Following the letter Students Taking Spaces written by Michael Clarke of Lewell Avenue, we are writing to advise him and other readers in Old Marston that the parish council is fully aware of the problem in various locations around the parish.

We have been in discussions with the city and county councils for some time to try to get improvements in the area (hence the limitations on parking in Raymund Road and at the bottom of Mortimer and Rippington Drives).

The councils have given us a definitive list of options for limiting or preventing parking and the parish council has drawn up a survey which it will be inviting residents to complete over the next few months. We hope Mr Clarke will be participating in the survey.
