I AM sure Cllr Roz Smith, in saying (Oxford Mail, February 6) the (currently suspended) Access to Headington Phase 3 will affect “the schools, the hospitals” was not forgetting local residents, not least those directly on Headley Way who will be exposed more than anyone else to whatever eventually happens up and down their road.
Yes, Cllr Smith is right, the muddle over Headington Access 3 is a farce, but farces can have a way of coming back to bite.
Suggestion: put in the new lights, then leave Headley and Cherwell Drive alone. From money thereby saved, the county council can then start to repair at least some of the potholes which afflict Oxford and Oxfordshire. Now that would be something!
