£2,000 bike pump: it’s only public money
THE new tyre pump on the Cowley road is a wonderful idea, it makes you wonder why it’s not been done before.
But really, £2,000 each: That’s what I call inflation. OK, it’s very well made and I realise as it’s only public money, so it’s okay to charge several times the market value for something. But at £2,000 a go, one has to ask: who is being taken for a ride?
A reality check needs to happen here before any more money is pumped into this.
