Prime Minister Theresa May announced Britain's departure from the European Union on March 29, with the statement - 'this is an historic moment from which there can be no turning back' - bold words from our prime minister who's impressed with her single minded focus to get Britain the best Brexit deal.

Bravo I say and nothing will sway this highly intelligent vicar's daughter from her task, not even a fly-in-the-ointment like Nicola Sturgeon and her Scottish aspirations.

And surely that's the way it should be if Britain is to move forward.
History has shown that if you want to progress, you need to enforce it.
I don't confess to being a political animal in any shape or form but clearly now we have to take the bull by the horns.

Furthermore it saddens me that Tony Blair's recent media exclamations called for a 'Britain in Europe' to which after the Lord Mayors show springs to mind.

Mr Blair is now a relic of politics past who should now keep out of the game. He won three elections and was prime minister for 10 years but left the country in a mess of contradiction and immigration controversy that ultimately led to the Brexit.
