MACE have issued their reduced plans at West Way to the public. There are some people urging others to adopt their opinions. As the former VOWH district councillor who facilitated the Vale purchasing the precinct, I have kept a low profile.

Today a shopkeeper told me it was their worst trading in 15 years.

There are others feeling the pinch too.

Doric disappeared, Mace have tried to compromise but if they feel they can no longer meet local demands and drop out, then what?

If this happened what would the future hold?

A run-down shopping facility, fewer customers, businesses closing, an area blacklisted by potential developers and then public anger at lost opportunities?

Those elected members on both the parish and Vale planning committees sure have a big responsibility on their hands when casting their views when Mace present their final planning application.
