I am writing concerning the now defunct 4C bus again. As we have no bus service and the roadworks being done on the B4044 near Grange Court, the bus stop which we used to catch the Stagecoach S1 and Stagecoach 11, is out of service.

So now most people have to walk further along the Eynsham Road to Third Acre Rise. But what about the elderly and disabled, parents with pushchairs and young children that cannot walk that distance to the next bus stop? They don’t bother to go out now as it’s just too far for them.

At least if we had a bus service at Dean Court these roadworks wouldn’t be a problem for these people mentioned.

I’m on crutches and this morning had to get a taxi down to Botley to do some banking. Before some bright spark says do your banking online then how do you pay a cheque in online? I rest my case.

Today’s letters

I cannot physically walk that far to and from that Third Acre Rise bus stop whilst also trying to do some shopping at Elms Parade.

I feel compelled to write this letter on behalf of all those residents who are also struggling to get from A to B.

It seems to fall onto deaf ears and I’ve contacted local government as well but still no joy.

If the Oxford Bus Company wants to save money by reducing services then fine, but why take our bus service away and put other buses into Cumnor of which more than half are empty anyway?
