I note that Simon Hillcox, of Doric Properties, has recently alleged that people who support his scheme have been “bullied into silence” (his words).
This is simply an outrageous slur on the huge number of people in Botley who oppose these plans. Two weeks ago more than 750 people of all ages turned out both to protest against the Doric plans and also to celebrate their community.
To suggest that this happy, but determined, line of balloon-waving people are “bullies” damages any credibility that Doric may wish to retain.
Nicola Blackwood MP recently came to speak to people in Botley and congratulated them on their community spirit: Doric choose to belittle and insult them. Enough said.
